How to read this page. It is written so you can check it: every claim about evidence hangs from a reference with its PubMed identifier, and we state just as plainly what is known and what is not. You will not find dosages or protocols anywhere on this site.

The ground it plays on

In aesthetics the route of administration decides almost everything. A peptide that works in a fibroblast culture may not cross intact skin, and then the formulation matters more than the active ingredient. That is why two products listing the same ingredient can give completely different results.

What it is studied for

Skin, expression lines, aesthetic regeneration.

There is a distinction that almost always gets lost. A compound being studied for something is not the same as achieving it. And even where it works in a dish or in a mouse, that says little about whether it works in a person or whether the benefit is worth the risk. The section below therefore carries more weight than everything above it.

What the human evidence says

Human evidence is limited to small dermatological studies of topical application — for example after CO2 laser resurfacing — and to in vitro skin penetration work using human skin. There are no large randomized trials and no clinical study at all of injected GHK-Cu.

The limitation that matters most

Almost all the research is in vitro or in rodents and dates from the 1980s and 1990s; several of the most cited reviews are signed by authors with commercial ties to GHK-Cu products, and the peptide penetrates intact skin poorly, so the formulation entirely determines the outcome.

Regulatory status

A topical cosmetic ingredient, not a medicine. There is no approved injectable presentation.

Status can change and varies by country. Always verify the rules in force where you live before drawing conclusions.

Cautions and context

Individual sensitivity; formulation and purity are decisive.

For topical or other routes, validate suitability with a professional based on your skin and goal.

This is not medical advice. Any decision about a compound in this encyclopedia belongs to a healthcare professional who knows your history, what you already take and your specific situation. If something you are using produces a new symptom, that is not something to observe — it is something to consult.

What this page cannot give you

A reference page can take you this far. You know what GHK-Cu is and where its research stands, which already puts you ahead of most readers. Four questions remain that no encyclopedia can answer for you, because the answers depend on your own situation:

That is what the course is for

PeptiXtreme is ${CIF.LECCIONES} lessons that hand out no numbers. Each one ends with your starting point, what to watch along the way, the specific questions you take to a professional and the signals that mean stop. It includes per-module exams, a diploma with a verifiable folio, a record to track how you progress, and a human advisor you can actually write to.

Frequently asked questions

What is GHK-Cu?

A copper complex studied for its relationship with extracellular-matrix remodeling, collagen synthesis and skin-regeneration signaling. It is studied within the area of aesthetic.

Is there human evidence for GHK-Cu?

Human evidence is limited to small dermatological studies of topical application — for example after CO2 laser resurfacing — and to in vitro skin penetration work using human skin. There are no large randomized trials and no clinical study at all of injected GHK-Cu.

Is it approved by any health agency?

A topical cosmetic ingredient, not a medicine. There is no approved injectable presentation.

What is the dose of GHK-Cu?

We do not publish dosages. This is not an oversight. No single figure works for everyone: the regimen depends on a person's medical history, on whatever medication they already take, and on the goal they are chasing, which is something a professional weighs with the case in front of them. What you can build is the ability to walk into that appointment knowing what to ask.

Where can I learn to evaluate this properly?

This page tells you what GHK-Cu is and what the evidence says. The PeptiXtreme course teaches the other half: what you would measure before considering anything, what you would watch, the specific questions you would take to a professional and when you would stop.
