How to read this page. It is written so you can check it: every claim about evidence hangs from a reference with its PubMed identifier, and we state just as plainly what is known and what is not. You will not find dosages or protocols anywhere on this site.

The ground it plays on

The immune system is not something you turn "up" or "down": it is regulated. A compound that raised the response without control would be a problem, not a benefit, which is why the correct word is modulation. For people with autoimmune or inflammatory conditions, this stops being a technical nuance.

What it is studied for

Advertised for immune modulation.

There is a distinction that almost always gets lost. A compound being studied for something is not the same as achieving it. And even where it works in a dish or in a mouse, that says little about whether it works in a person or whether the benefit is worth the risk. The section below therefore carries more weight than everything above it.

What the human evidence says

It comes closest to having clinical data of anything in the Russian group: there is a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled study in elderly patients before abdominal cancer surgery, published in Russian in 2011. It is small, single-centre and has never been replicated outside Russia.

The limitation that matters most

Although it does have a real randomised trial, it was published with an English abstract only, with no public protocol registration, no accessible primary data and no independent replication. The bulk of the recent literature consists of hepatoprotection studies in rats.

Regulatory status

Registered as an immunomodulator in Russia. Not approved by the FDA or the EMA.

Status can change and varies by country. Always verify the rules in force where you live before drawing conclusions.

Cautions and context

It has a real randomised trial, but a small, single-centre one that has never been replicated outside Russia.

Infections that keep coming back month after month call for an immunology workup with a physician before any product of this kind enters the picture.

This is not medical advice. Any decision about a compound in this encyclopedia belongs to a healthcare professional who knows your history, what you already take and your specific situation. If something you are using produces a new symptom, that is not something to observe — it is something to consult.

What this page cannot give you

A reference page can take you this far. You know what Thymogen is and where its research stands, which already puts you ahead of most readers. Four questions remain that no encyclopedia can answer for you, because the answers depend on your own situation:

That is what the course is for

PeptiXtreme is ${CIF.LECCIONES} lessons that hand out no numbers. Each one ends with your starting point, what to watch along the way, the specific questions you take to a professional and the signals that mean stop. It includes per-module exams, a diploma with a verifiable folio, a record to track how you progress, and a human advisor you can actually write to.

Frequently asked questions

What is Thymogen?

An immunomodulatory dipeptide derived from research on thymus extracts. It is studied within the area of immune.

Is there human evidence for Thymogen?

It comes closest to having clinical data of anything in the Russian group: there is a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled study in elderly patients before abdominal cancer surgery, published in Russian in 2011. It is small, single-centre and has never been replicated outside Russia.

Is it approved by any health agency?

Registered as an immunomodulator in Russia. Not approved by the FDA or the EMA.

What is the dose of Thymogen?

We do not publish dosages. This is not an oversight. No single figure works for everyone: the regimen depends on a person's medical history, on whatever medication they already take, and on the goal they are chasing, which is something a professional weighs with the case in front of them. What you can build is the ability to walk into that appointment knowing what to ask.

Where can I learn to evaluate this properly?

This page tells you what Thymogen is and what the evidence says. The PeptiXtreme course teaches the other half: what you would measure before considering anything, what you would watch, the specific questions you would take to a professional and when you would stop.
