Two very different things live under the same label here: serious research into mitochondria, cellular senescence and DNA repair, and a market of promises built on studies that were never replicated. All the therapeutic effects described come from cell cultures and rodents, and almost always with the potentiated analogue HNG rather than native humanin. On top of that, there are data indicating it may help tumor cells resist chemotherapy, a risk that cannot be ignored.
